Who can take part

  • You have a midline incisional hernia (a bulge along a previous surgical scar in the middle of your belly) that is 4–10 cm wide
  • Your hernia is located in the middle section of your abdomen (between your rib cage and pubic bone)
  • You are scheduled for open surgery (not minimally invasive/laparoscopic) with mesh placement beneath your muscle
  • You can provide written informed consent and are not under legal guardianship
  • You are not pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • You have affiliation with a French national health insurance system
