Blood Vessel Problems After Kidney Transplant Treatment

Part of Heart & circulation, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks at treating narrowing or blockage of blood vessels in transplanted kidneys. If your transplanted kidney is showing signs of not working well and imaging shows a blocked vessel, this trial tests whether a procedure called angioplasty (opening the vessel with a tiny balloon) can help restore blood flow and improve kidney function.

Stenting narrowed kidney artery to help high-risk patients

This trial studies whether placing a small stent in a severely narrowed kidney artery can improve outcomes for people with high-risk, artery-hardening kidney blood-flow problems. It focuses on people whose high blood pressure or kidney function has been getting worse despite multiple medications.

Preparing blood vessels for kidney transplant

This trial tests a procedure to fix blocked or damaged blood vessels in the pelvis so you can get a kidney transplant. It might help if your blood vessels are the only reason you can't have a transplant yet.

Treating narrowed arteries in transplanted kidneys

This trial tests a treatment for a condition that can happen after a kidney transplant, where the artery to the new kidney becomes narrowed. If you have been told you have this problem, the study may help find the best way to treat it.

Guiding kidney artery treatment with blood pressure measurements

This trial tests a new way to decide if opening a narrowed kidney artery will help lower high blood pressure. It uses a special wire to measure pressure inside the artery before treatment.

Drug balloon treatment for narrowed kidney arteries

This study tests a drug-coated balloon used during a kidney-artery procedure for people with non-atherosclerotic (non–plaque-related) narrowing. It may help improve blood flow to the kidney and better control blood pressure, while also checking safety.
