- You have pilonidal sinus disease and are scheduled for elective (planned, non-emergency) surgery
- You are in generally good overall health (ASA class I or II)
- You are not allergic to local anesthetics (numbing medications) or opioids (strong pain medications)
- You do not have an active infection at the surgical site
- You are not currently taking blood-thinning medications
- You do not have active alcohol or drug addiction
