Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have moderate to severe jaw pain (at least 30 out of 100 on a pain scale) despite trying conservative treatments for at least 30 days
  • You do not have fibromyalgia, widespread neuropathic pain, or primary myofascial pain (muscle-based pain)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have no recent traumatic injury to your jaw (within the past 12 months)
  • You can safely have an MRI (no metal implants like pacemakers, aneurysm clips, or certain surgical hardware; no kidney disease requiring dialysis; no contrast dye allergy)
