Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) or cancer that has spread to the liver from the colon
  • You are scheduled to have elective (planned) liver surgery after being cleared by your doctor
  • You are between 18 and 84 years old
  • You are willing to voluntarily participate in the study and follow the preparation program
  • You do not have severe heart, kidney, brain, or psychiatric problems that would make surgery too risky
  • You are not currently enrolled in another research study
