Optrell Catheter for Heart Rhythm Problems from Papillary Muscles

Ventricular Arrythmia

This study compares how well a special heart mapping catheter (Optrell) works in treating irregular heartbeats that start in specific heart muscle areas called papillary muscles. If you're having frequent or bothersome extra heartbeats, this trial may help you get a procedure your doctor already recommends.

Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 and able to give informed consent
  • Frequent (more than 10%) or symptom-causing extra heartbeats coming from papillary muscles (detected on EKG)
  • Your doctor has already decided you need this procedure as part of your regular care
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Able to come back for follow-up visits and not currently in another heart drug or device study
