Radiation therapy for persistent heel pain
Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.
This trial tests whether targeted radiation can relieve long-lasting heel pain (plantar fasciitis) that hasn't improved with other treatments. If your heel pain has lasted months and other options haven't worked, radiation might help reduce pain and improve walking.

This study tests whether low-dose radiation therapy (LDRT) can help people with long-term heel pain from plantar fasciitis and a heel spur. It uses imaging and checkups to measure how well the treatment works.
This study compares two treatments for chronic heel pain caused by plantar fasciopathy (inflammation of the tissue on the bottom of your foot). If you have a heel spur, you may receive either a steroid injection or a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (which uses heat to calm the pain). The study will also use ultrasound to see how the tissue changes.
This trial tests if adding a nerve treatment (pulsed radiofrequency of the sural nerve) to standard care helps people with long-lasting heel pain. It may reduce pain and improve function.
This trial tests two minimally invasive procedures—pulsed radiofrequency and a dextrose injection—to see which better relieves chronic heel pain from plantar fasciitis that hasn't improved with other treatments.
This study compares two treatments for long-term heel pain from plantar fasciitis: a new needle procedure that uses gentle heat (radiofrequency) versus a steroid injection guided by ultrasound. The goal is to find which treatment provides better pain relief.
This trial studies treatments for ongoing heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis (pain in the band on the bottom of your foot). If you qualify, you may receive an injection treatment and be compared with a control group to see what works best.
