Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and in generally good health
  • You have been diagnosed with peri-implantitis (infection around a dental implant) that needs surgical treatment
  • Your implant has been in place for over 1 year and has lost significant bone around it
  • You do not have autoimmune diseases, uncontrolled diabetes, or chronic inflammatory conditions
  • You are not currently taking steroids or immune-suppressing medications, and have no active infections
  • You can attend follow-up visits for at least 3 months and undergo blood draws and tissue biopsies
