Who can take part
- You have adult-onset arthritis in the inner (medial) part of your knee with pain and functional problems lasting at least 6 months despite non-surgical treatment
- Your knock-knee (varus) alignment is mild to moderate—between 3 and 15 degrees out of normal
- You can bend your knee at least 110 degrees and have minimal stiffness or straightening lag
- You can walk without help (or with a cane/walker) and are able to perform gait (walking) analysis
- You do not have severe arthritis on the outer side of the knee or behind the kneecap
- You have not had previous knee surgery (including prior realignment, replacement, or complex fracture repair) and do not have inflammatory arthritis (like rheumatoid arthritis)
