Who can take part
- Your child is between 8 and 17 years old
- Diagnosed with polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (multiple-joint type) that is moderate to severe
- Current arthritis medicines have not worked well or caused problems for at least 3 months
- Your child weighs at least 15 kg (about 33 pounds)
- Willing to use contraception if female and sexually active
- No active eye inflammation (uveitis) in the past 12 weeks and no other serious rheumatic or immune diseases
