  • The surgery is planned in advance (not an emergency)
  • Your child's overall health is good to fair (ASA class I, II, or III)
  • Your child fasted before surgery according to standard guidelines
  • The surgery will last between 30 minutes and 2 hours
  • You can provide informed consent as the parent or legal guardian
