Who can take part

  • You are currently in the hospital or being admitted to the hospital
  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have a serious infection that your doctor thinks needs these two antibiotics together
  • We can enroll you before or very early in your antibiotic treatment (before the second dose)
  • You have had at least one kidney function test (creatinine) in the past year, plus a baseline test
  • You or a legal representative can give informed consent
