- You have pathologically confirmed rectal adenocarcinoma (cancer confirmed by biopsy)
- Your cancer was stage II or III (locally advanced, meaning it had spread to lymph nodes or deep into the rectal wall)
- You received total neoadjuvant therapy (chemotherapy and/or radiation before surgery) followed by surgical removal of the rectum
- Your surgical specimen was available for pathological examination (reviewed under a microscope after surgery)
