Who can take part

  • You have advanced liver cancer (BCLC stage C) that cannot be surgically removed, confirmed by biopsy or imaging
  • You have diabetes mellitus and symptoms of diabetic nerve damage that need treatment
  • Your liver function is preserved (Child-Pugh grade A or B, meaning good enough to handle strong treatments)
  • You are 18–80 years old and able to care for yourself with minimal help (ECOG score 0–1)
  • You do not have severe heart disease, kidney failure, low blood platelets, or active infections
  • You are not pregnant, nursing, or being treated for another type of cancer
