- You are between 18 and 35 years old
- You have not exercised regularly for at least 3 months
- Your BMI (body mass index) is 24 or higher, meaning you are overweight or obese
- You are alert, mentally able to follow simple instructions, and have stable vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature)
- You do not have serious medical conditions affecting your heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, blood, or endocrine system
- You have not had a heart attack, severe chest pain, severe irregular heartbeat, or heart failure in the past 3 months
