Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment for Chronic Tendon Pain
Treatments studied
Part of Bones, joints & muscles, Injuries & trauma clinical trials.
This trial tests whether an injection of concentrated platelets from your own blood can help heal chronic tendon injuries that haven't improved with other treatments. Platelets contain natural healing factors that may reduce pain and improve function.

This study tests two treatments for chronic pain in the middle of the Achilles tendon. You may qualify if you have had pain for over 3 months and have not had these treatments recently.
This trial tests a special injection made from your own bone marrow to treat tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) that hasn't gotten better with standard treatments like rest, physical therapy, or corticosteroid shots. The goal is to see if this injection can help heal a small tear in the tendon and reduce pain.
This study tests if a treatment using your own blood (platelet-rich plasma) can help relieve persistent elbow tendon pain that hasn't gotten better with other treatments like rest or physical therapy.
This study compares two treatments—hyaluronic acid (a natural lubricant) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP, made from your own blood)—for chronic tendon pain. You may be a good fit if you have had pain in your Achilles tendon or golfer's elbow for more than 3 months and are looking for a non-surgical option.
This study tests whether an injection of your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can help heal muscle, tendon, or joint problems that haven't gotten better with other treatments like physical therapy or medications.
This study compares two types of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections—one with a lot of white blood cells and one without—against a placebo injection to see which works best for persistent tennis elbow. If other treatments haven't helped your elbow pain for at least 3 months, this trial might be a good option.
