  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a kidney stone in your ureter (the tube connecting kidney to bladder) that needs surgical removal
  • You have complete medical records and imaging scans available
  • You do not have kidney stones on both sides
  • You have not had a drainage tube or stent placed before surgery
  • You do not have a history of cancer in your ureter or bladder
