Testing New Digital Tools to Detect Tooth Decay

This study tests new digital technologies—including a special camera called DIAGNOcam and AI software—to detect tooth decay early and accurately. If you have some cavities and healthy teeth in specific areas of your mouth, you may be eligible to help researchers improve how dentists find and diagnose tooth decay.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have natural permanent teeth only (no baby teeth remaining)
  • You have one or more cavities (early or established tooth decay)
  • All four side teeth (upper and lower, teeth 4–7 on each side) are present and intact
  • You agree to photos, X-rays, and use of AI-based detection tools like DIAGNOcam
  • Your cavities have not reached the nerve inside the tooth
