Who can take part

  • Age between 18 and 74 years old
  • Heart pumping function (ejection fraction) of 35% or lower
  • Moderate-to-severe heart failure symptoms that limit daily activities (New York Heart Association class III or IV)
  • Currently taking high-dose water pills (Furosemide) of more than 50 mg per day
  • At least one sign that your heart failure is difficult to control, such as needing stronger medicines over time, not tolerating your current medications well, or ongoing symptoms despite advanced treatments like pacemakers or valve procedures
  • Able and willing to sign a consent form and allow your medical information to be used for research
