Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have symptoms like unexplained severe allergic reactions, flushing, stomach pain, diarrhea, hives, or a skin condition called urticaria pigmentosa
- You have not taken KIT inhibitor drugs (like imatinib or avapritinib) in the past 3 months
- You have not taken steroids, interferon, or immunosuppressive drugs in the past month
- You are able to have blood drawn and a bone marrow biopsy (a needle sample from your hip bone), and willing to return for check-ups every 6 months for 6 months
- You do not have other blood cancers or clotting problems that would prevent safe blood or bone marrow collection
