Music and Mobile Apps to Help Babies With Heart Surgery Pain

Who can take part

  • Your baby is between 2 and 12 months old
  • Your baby had surgery for a congenital heart condition (a heart problem present from birth)
  • Your baby has a single chest tube (a tube inserted after surgery to drain fluid)
  • Your baby is not on a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation)
  • You and your baby's other parent (if applicable) agree to participate
  • Your baby has not received pain medication in the 2 hours before the chest tube is removed
