Who can take part
- You have type 1 or type 2 diabetes and a mild foot infection with specific signs (drainage, redness, warmth, pain, swelling, or hardness)
- Your foot ulcer is shallow (only in the top layers of skin), between 1–12 cm² in size, and located on or below your ankle bone
- You have good blood flow to your foot, confirmed by a recent test
- You have someone (a caregiver) who can help apply wound dressing at home or attend clinic visits
- You are not pregnant, not nursing, and willing to use birth control if needed during the study
- You are willing to wear a special pressure-relieving boot if your ulcer is on the bottom of your foot
