  • Age 18–45 years old
  • Muscle strain in the lower leg (hamstring, thigh, or calf) from athletic activity
  • Injury happened within the last 10 days
  • Willing to do prescribed physical therapy during recovery
  • No previous injections at this exact injury site
  • No similar muscle injury in the same leg muscle within the past 6 months
