Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have an implanted defibrillator (ICD) and have experienced more than 2 dangerous heart rhythms (VT) per month over the past 2 months, even while on standard heart medications
  • You are not dependent on your pacemaker for your heartbeat
  • Your blood pressure, kidney function, liver function, and thyroid are stable and within safe ranges
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding and can communicate in English
