Who can take part
- You are 65 years old or older
- You are having an ERCP (a procedure to look at and treat the bile ducts) under sedation, but not as an emergency
- Your health is stable enough that you are not on continuous IV blood pressure medications and you do not need oxygen at home
- You do not have severe anemia (very low red blood cell count) that could mess up oxygen readings
- You are alert and able to answer questions about your health and daily activities
- Your ERCP is expected to last less than 60 minutes
