Who can take part

  • You have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that is not secondary to another condition
  • Your leukemia is in complete remission (no signs of cancer) before transplant
  • You are able to perform daily activities with minimal help (Karnofsky score 80% or higher)
  • You will receive stem cells from your own blood (peripheral blood stem cells), not bone marrow
  • You have never had a stem cell transplant before
  • Your cancer is controlled and not actively progressing
