Who can take part

  • You must be age 60 or younger (and this can vary a bit by diagnosis and remission status).
  • Your body function must be strong enough—heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys have to meet specific lab/scan limits.
  • You need a transplant match in place: an appropriate donor must be available using the program’s rules.
  • Your cancer must be at a qualifying stage (often in remission with limited blasts, or meeting specific high-risk definitions).
  • If you are HIV-positive, your viral load must be undetectable and an infectious-disease plan must be set before transplant.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and people who could become pregnant or whose partner could become pregnant must use reliable birth control.
