Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with cirrhosis (advanced liver scarring) based on clinical, lab, or imaging evidence
- You are scheduled to have an upper endoscopy (a camera procedure down your throat)
- You have not had previous endoscopic treatment for esophageal varices (enlarged veins)
- You do not have certain prior surgeries or interventions (shunt procedures, TIPS, or splenectomy)
