Who can take part

  • Be male or a post-menopausal woman (for females, confirmed through a blood test showing FSH ≥ 30 U/l)
  • Have a BMI between 25–40 kg/m² (roughly overweight to moderately obese)
  • Have a specific blood marker (apoB) of at least 1.05 g/L, which relates to cholesterol particle size
  • Be a non-smoker or have quit smoking for at least 1 year
  • Drink fewer than 7 alcoholic beverages per week
  • Commit to the full study duration of 18–22 weeks and attend all scheduled visits while fasting
