Who can take part
- Age between 50 and 65 years old
- Had an ischemic stroke (caused by a blood clot) 3 to 6 months ago
- Weakness or paralysis in one upper arm and hand from the stroke
- Mild to moderate muscle stiffness in the affected arm (not severe)
- Able to think and communicate clearly (score of 25 or higher on a memory test)
- No pacemaker or other condition that would prevent electrical nerve stimulation
