Who can take part
- Had an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot) at least 3 months ago
- Experience weakness on one side of your body affecting your arm
- Your arm weakness is at a moderate level (measured by a standard test)
- Your overall health is stable enough for physical therapy
- No pacemaker or other electrical devices implanted in your body
- No recent wounds, skin allergies, or breaks in the skin where the stimulation pads would go
