Who can take part

  • Had an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot) at least 3 months ago
  • Experience weakness on one side of your body affecting your arm
  • Your arm weakness is at a moderate level (measured by a standard test)
  • Your overall health is stable enough for physical therapy
  • No pacemaker or other electrical devices implanted in your body
  • No recent wounds, skin allergies, or breaks in the skin where the stimulation pads would go
