How Surgery Affects Glucose Monitors in Type 1 Diabetes

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
  • You are currently using a Libre-2, Libre-3, Dexcom G6, or Dexcom G7 glucose monitor
  • You are having planned elective surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals
  • You are at least 4 years old
  • You have not taken high-dose paracetamol, hydroxyurea, or large amounts of vitamin C in the week before surgery
  • You are not currently enrolled in another clinical trial involving medications
