Spinal Surgery to Reduce Muscle Stiffness After Injury

Who can take part

  • You are at least 4 years old
  • Your muscle stiffness (spasticity) is caused by a head injury or spinal cord injury
  • You have not previously had an intrathecal baclofen pump surgery (a pump that delivers medicine into your spine)
  • Your spasticity is not caused by stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, or other neurological diseases
  • You are willing to undergo spinal surgery
