Understanding Recovery Problems After Intensive Care

This study looks at patients who spent at least 2 days in the ICU (intensive care unit) to understand the physical, mental, and emotional challenges they face during recovery. Researchers will ask you questions about your health and function to identify what kind of support might help you feel better.

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • This is your first time in an ICU, and you stayed there for at least 48 hours
  • You can complete health assessments within 7 days after moving to a high-dependency unit (HDU)
  • Your medical records from the hospital are complete and available
  • You or a legal guardian can sign a consent form to participate
