Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have a hospital-acquired lung infection or airway inflammation that needs antibiotics (with or without a breathing tube)
- You have not had respiratory cultures (lung fluid samples sent to the lab) in the past 72 hours
- You or your legal representative can provide informed consent to participate
- Your respiratory sample must be adequate quality (meeting lab standards for cell content)
