Who can take part
- You have hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), or metastatic cancer in the liver that cannot be surgically removed
- Your tumor is 5 centimeters or smaller and affects no more than 2 sections of the liver (Couinaud segments)
- You are at least 18 years old with adequate liver function (Child-Pugh class A or B)
- Your blood counts and organ function meet minimum thresholds (WBC ≥3,000, platelets ≥50,000, kidney function adequate)
- You can undergo MRI imaging and blood tests, and have no contraindications to MRI (such as certain pacemakers)
- You do not have cancer that has spread outside the liver, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
