Who can take part

  • You have liver cancer confirmed by biopsy or scan.
  • You have either one tumor between 2 and 5 cm, or two to three tumors each 3 cm or smaller.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for these tumors.
  • You are not able to have surgery or thermal ablation (a procedure that uses heat or cold to destroy tumors).
  • You are at least 22 years old and in generally good health (able to care for yourself and up and about).
  • Your liver and kidney function are within certain limits, as measured by routine blood tests.
