Who can take part
- Age 18–80 years old and in good overall health
- Diagnosed high triglycerides (blood fat level 150–500 mg/dL), confirmed by two tests at least 7 days apart
- Currently taking standard cholesterol/triglyceride-lowering medications that have been stable for at least 6 weeks
- LDL cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol) at or below 130 mg/dL at screening
- No severe liver, kidney, heart, or pancreas problems; no recent heart attacks or strokes
- No plans for surgery, weight-loss procedures, or heart procedures during the study
