Who can take part

  • Your child was diagnosed with a brain or spinal cord tumor confirmed by a biopsy or pathology report
  • Your child is between 3 and 18 years old at the time of diagnosis
  • Your child's doctor recommends radiation to the entire brain and spinal cord
  • Your child is healthy enough for treatment (able to do light activity, score 80 or higher on a performance scale)
  • If your child had surgery, the surgical wound must be fully healed with no infection
  • Your child has not had previous radiation to the spine or major spinal surgery
