Who can take part

  • You must be between 3 and 30 years old.
  • You must have a newly diagnosed, localized germinoma in certain areas of the brain (like the pineal or suprasellar region).
  • Your blood or spinal fluid must have certain levels of tumor markers (HCG-beta and AFP) that are within specific ranges.
  • You must be in generally good health (able to carry out daily activities) with adequate kidney, liver, and blood cell counts.
  • You cannot have received any prior cancer treatment for this germinoma, except for surgery or steroids.
