Understanding Inflammation in Pituitary Tumors

Pituitary Tumor

Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This research study examines the inflammatory environment inside pituitary tumors (small glands in the brain) to better understand how they grow and respond to treatment. You would have surgery to remove the tumor as part of your normal care, and researchers would study the removed tissue to learn more.

Study of invasive pituitary tumors in nearby brain areas

This trial studies pituitary tumors that have spread into a nearby area called the cavernous sinus. It aims to learn more about these tumors by looking at donated tissue samples and health information to improve future care.

Surgery vs medication for pituitary tumors

This study compares two treatments for a type of pituitary tumor called a prolactinoma. It looks at whether surgery or medication (bromocriptine) works better. The tumor must be smaller and not invade nearby structures, as determined by an MRI.

Pituitary tumor follow-up for people with confirmed pituitary disease

This study focuses on people who already have a confirmed pituitary condition and will look at how tumor findings match with patient results over time. It may help improve how pituitary tumors are monitored and understood.

Study of pituitary gland tumors using tissue samples

This study looks at pituitary gland tumors (called Pit-NETs) using stored tumor samples and long-term follow-up information. It aims to learn more about how these tumors behave, which might help doctors treat them better in the future.
