Who can take part

  • You have a lung tumor smaller than 3 centimeters (about 1.2 inches)
  • Your doctors have determined you need cryoablation (freezing treatment) for your lung tumor
  • There are blood vessels larger than 3 millimeters within about half an inch around your tumor, which puts you at risk for incomplete treatment
  • You are eligible for this type of surgery with no serious medical conditions that would prevent it
  • You will receive only one freezing needle during the procedure
