Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older with primary ITP diagnosis
  • Very low platelet count (under 30 billion per liter) confirmed by two tests at least 1 day apart
  • Previously tried standard ITP treatments (steroids or IV immunoglobulin) that didn't work, stopped working, or caused side effects
  • No active infections, cancer, or serious heart, liver, or kidney disease
  • Not pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
  • No previous ATRA treatment
