Who can take part

  • Age 16–70 years old
  • Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • Currently taking diabetes pills or diabetes pills plus one type of insulin injection (basal insulin)
  • Blood sugar level (HbA1c) higher than 7.5%
  • Planning to receive care at Cho Ray Hospital for at least 6 months
  • Able and willing to attend the nutrition education program
