Biomarkers in breathing filters during surgery

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and can understand information in Danish
  • You are having planned (non-emergency) surgery for a non-cancer condition
  • Your surgery will use general anesthesia with a breathing tube
  • You expect to need the breathing tube for more than 1 hour during surgery
  • You can give informed consent and have legal capacity to do so
  • You will not need to stay on a breathing machine in the intensive care unit after surgery
