Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older at diagnosis
  • You have been diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer confirmed by biopsy or blood tests showing high calcitonin levels
  • You are a good candidate for surgery to remove part or all of your thyroid
  • You do not have a family history of medullary thyroid cancer caused by a RET gene mutation
  • Your ultrasound does not show suspicious lymph nodes in the neck or concerning nodules that haven't been biopsied
