Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old and speak English
- You must be a patient at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) Dental School
- You have a narrow ridge (bone width ≤4mm) in an area with a missing tooth that needs bone buildup before an implant
- You do not currently use tobacco or nicotine in any form
- Your neighboring teeth are healthy or will be removed during the same surgery
- You do not have uncontrolled diabetes, untreated gum disease, head/neck radiation history, or a weakened immune system
