How Your Body Responds to Salt in Diet

This study tests whether your blood pressure is sensitive to salt intake. Researchers will provide you with controlled meals for two weeks to see how your body responds, then invite qualifying participants to continue with a personalized follow-up study.

Who can take part

  • Blood pressure between 110–159 (top number) and 70–99 (bottom number) mmHg
  • Not on blood pressure medication, or on a stable dose for at least 3 months with no plans to change it during the study
  • Able to eat all meals provided by the study for 2 weeks
  • No serious food allergies, digestive conditions, kidney disease stage 4+, or recent heart attack or stroke
  • No active infections, fever, or severe diarrhea at the time of joining
  • Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
