Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have kidney stones smaller than 20 mm (about the size of a small bean) that need removal
  • You are having a minimally invasive procedure called RIRS to remove your kidney stones
  • Your urine culture test is negative (no infection found)
  • You do not have an active urinary tract infection
  • You have not had previous kidney stone surgery (PCNL or open surgery)
