Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have end-stage kidney disease and receive postdilution hemodiafiltration (a type of dialysis) three times per week
- You have been on stable dialysis treatment for at least several months
- You have a working arteriovenous fistula (a surgically created connection between an artery and vein in your arm for dialysis access)
- You are not currently taking blood thinners for another medical condition (like a heart problem or clot)
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or active bleeding
